Well, day 2 has come and gone for the girls.
Brittany’s classes are blocked now. She has A block and B block. She likes her A block classes and doesn’t really care for B block. Amazingly, no teachers “hate her” yet. (So and so just hates me! That’s why she’s so mean! Parents - you know the routine…) She HATES riding the bus. At the risk of sounding racist (which is not my intention) she’s the only little pale skinned, blue eyed, blonde haired honey on the bus. You know in Memphis that the Hispanic population and the African-Americans are big rivals, right? It’s just not a good situation and she is very uncomfortable on the bus. Add to that, the bus driver pays no mind to the goings on behind her…badbadbad. Did you know that to even get on the bus, each student has to keep up with a paper bus pass and show it every day before they can get on the bus? What ever happened to just *getting on the bus and going to school / home* ???
Hailey seems to still enjoy Middle School…but - she hasn’t actually had any homework yet. She’s come home both days excited which is something I haven’t seen in a long time! She absolutely LOVES changing classes/teachers for every class. I think that is her favorite part!
Ray’s mom is going to drive Brittany to school today - we’ll see how that goes.
